Rex Sikes' Movie Beat

Sad breaking news Ken Ober passed away this weekend. The Sunday night Monday morning internet was filled with contradiction. He passed on he didn’t it was just a rumor. Perhaps, sometime when everything starts to settle I will speak more about these confusing hours when friends could not tell what was and what was not true. A little later maybe at Rex’s Rants. Regardless, this is a sad time for friends and fans of Ken’s. It appears these conversations may be the last public conversations with Ken. Enjoy! And rest in peace Ken.

Adam Sandler, who appeared on Remote Control, told MTV News: "Ken Ober was one of the sharpest, quickest, sweetest guys I ever me. He was always a great friend and I will miss him very much." Denis Leary also got his start on the show, and released a statement saying: "Kenny Ober was and always will be the quickest wit in the room... a smart, fast and hilarious human being who made many of us, including myself, laugh until we cried. As the star and host of Remote Control, he was a welcoming ringmaster who helped to kickstart the careers of numerous talents, including Adam Sandler, Colin Quinn and myself. He will be remembered always by each of his friends not only for his massive talent but for his true, deep and enduring friendship."...
