"HARDCORE INDIE" will be a 90 minute documentary about the making of two hardcore, gritty horror movies in Tulsa, OK. "SCREEN" & "CRAWL" are two original horror/thriller movies from two ambitious visionary filmmakers. One from Scotland, one from Tulsa OK.
David Baker & Oklahoma Ward are coming together to pool their talent, drive and resources to make these movies. Their ultimate goal is to use these movies to kickstart an independent film studio in the US.

David P. Baker has two features films to his credit. "Pasty Faces." A comedy caper movie that was set in Scotland, LA, and Las Vegas. The film was financed by a distributor and the executive producer of Guy Ritchie's first tow movies “Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barells and “Snatch” The film got a theatrical, dvd, TV release in the UK
His most recent feature was the self financed "MISSION X," A military mockumentary feature film about a young film student that gets to film a gang of mercenaries before they stage an attack on a government UK building. The film was shot over a year on a budget of $5000.
David used the film present it to UK and US production companies for the “MERCENARY” bigger budget remake version.
The film has generated interest from a top sales and finance company. The project is currently being considered for a remake.
"SCREEN" is the project he has wanted to make for the last four years. An original terrifying horror/thriller, about a gang of young people that are found scared to death in front of a drive-in movie screen.
David "The film has to be made 100% independent to keep the control. Partnering with Tulsa based Oklahoma Ward & Nicole Alonso is the perfect collaboration for this film. Which I hope will continue for many years.
Native American Oklahoma Ward graduated from the College of Santa Fe and spent 15 years of his life working as a visual artist on the streets of New York, Santa Fe,NM, New Orleans and Chicago. After years of carving out a life of creating art, Oklahoma created and opened one of Chicago's largest art galleries - ARENA GALLERY. After years of working on that venture - Oklahoma Ward started delving into experimental works of art on and with film. After several experimental art instillations dealing with the art of film and filmmaking, Oklahoma decided to focus on melding art, film and storytelling together.
This led to the 10 year making of the feature film The Isolation of Subject #136. Upon completion of Isolation #136 - industry top distribution consultant Peter Broderick and Oklahoma Ward joined forces to create a distribution plan for The Isolation of Subject #136.
The first phase of that distribution plan was/is to write, produce, and create a new feature film - attacking the Horror genre with a gritty grounded hard-hitting movie called: CRAWL!
CRAWL is to be filmed in June of 2011.
After Oklahoma Ward wrote the script for CRAWL, Oklahoma packed up his studio - left Los Angeles - traveled to Tulsa, OK and built a self financed, independent, ultra-low budget film studio by hand. Two days after the building was completed - HARDCORE INDIE Studios was born.
Currently, Oklahoma Ward - alongside partner/actor Nicole Alonso - has started building the 2,000 ft underground tunnel system for the film set of CRAWL. The set for CRAWL is one quarter finished.
