Tim's Story:

A Letter From A Current Participant

"I've been studying Rex Sikes' Mind Design for about six months so far. Formally, I have only really looked at the first video so far. But it has been worth the price just for that. Let me explain why.

Without getting into too much detail I have been through a number of life-changing events over the last few years that have left me a little bruised, battered.

My occupation now is caring for my geriatric father who has a number of mental and physical ailments. I went from being a best selling author, successful trainer, and coach to nursing my mother through a painful death and then caring for my father through a debilitating mental condition that is stripping him of everything that I remember him as.

I've been looking for something to help me work on my headspace, get me out of my rut and focused on putting myself back on track for the things I would like to do within the limits of having to care for my father.

While looking for courses to go through I found Rex Sikes' Mind Design. I have known Rex for a long time from a distance. I studied his NLP tape course back when tapes were a thing and we are friends on Facebook.

I was drawn to Mind Design firstly because of him. Through Facebook I know we have some commonality of values and I have a lot of respect for his abilities and the material that I have seen from him in the past.

I was looking for a course where you can interact with other students and a responsive trainer that would help and support with the material. Rex has a Facebook group where the students interact and support each other. He is always on there asking us questions, giving us more content and cajoling us to interact and post.

He is also extremely responsive. A few weeks ago I posted about a particular recurring pattern of behavior of mine that I had noticed and was struggling to break. I posted to start a discussion. Within a few hours, I suddenly found myself in a FB live discussion with Rex where he properly coached me through the issue.

I gained huge insights and popped a few bubbles around my specific problem. And the recording is there to help and support the others in the group as well.

Since then Rex has done more FB live content which have been recorded in case you couldn't make the event.

The group is amazing although I have to admit I have not yet contributed as much as I would like. There are people from all walks of life, with lots of different skills and abilities. They are all very supportive and are great for bouncing ideas around with. This course is a shared journey.

Mind Design™ Bridges That Gap

Back to the main content. I've only properly watched the first video, although I have been through it several times now. Going through the video I often found myself thinking, "I know this," or "I used to do this," or "Blimey, that's obvious why did I not think of that?" but the reality is a lot of the best ideas are blindingly obvious once you know it.

And the real issue isn't about knowing stuff but doing something about it. That is where much of the real use of Rex's material comes from. It is about doing things and getting benefit from it. That is what I wanted and it is what I am getting.

How I have benefited from the Mind Design course so far is:
New frames on how I am thinking about my situation. That means I am treating myself and the people around me differently.

I've generated new ways of dealing with both my father and the team of care-givers around him.

I am bouncing back from a lot of adversity far quicker than I have over the last couple of years.

I am finding some resilience again. I find that I am laughing and enjoying life again.

You might notice that I am not talking about specific techniques or how to deal with specific problems. I am doing most of that for myself, although there are specific tools and techniques within the course.

The Mind Design Course (the clue is in the name) is working on a far more fundamental level.

By doing some of the things in the course I am finding that I am thinking differently, and as a result have far more resources to find my own solutions to the specific problems that I am dealing with in my life.

I am sure you have heard that old adage, if you give a person a fish then they eat today. If you teach them how to fish they can feed themselves for life.

The Mind Design Course doesn't give you a fish. It doesn't teach you how to fish. It is about developing the mindset where you learn to overcome the obstacle of hunger for yourself.
That might include teaching yourself to fish, finding someone to fish for you, buying a fish to eat, opening a successful seafood restaurant, deciding you don't like fish and writing a bestselling vegetarian recipe book instead.

I'm sorry that I am not sorry for being only this short way through the course. But despite not doing half of the things, and not contributing to the group as much as I would like, in the little bit that I have looked at, I have had an immense value from the course!

For me, this is a course for life. And based on what little I have done of it so far I am willing to take as long as I need to get everything from it."

A Message From Napoleon Hill

Author Of Think And Grow Rich

"When Edwin C. Barnes climbed down from the freight train in Orange, N. J., more than thirty years ago, he may have resembled a tramp, but his thoughts were those of a king! As he made his way from the railroad tracks to Thomas A. Edison’s office, his mind was at work.

He saw himself standing in Edison’s presence. He heard himself asking Mr. Edison for an opportunity to carry out the one consuming obsession of his life, a burning desire to become the business associate of the great inventor. Barnes’ desire was not a hope!

It was not a wish! It was a keen, pulsating desire, which transcended everything else. It was definite. The desire was not new when he approached Edison. It had been Barnes’ dominating desire for a long time.

In the beginning, when the desire first appeared in his mind, it may have been, probably was, only a wish, but it was no mere wish when he appeared before Edison with it.

A few years later, Edwin C. Barnes again stood before Edison, in the same office where he first met the inventor. This time his desire had been translated into reality. He was in business with Edison.

The dominating dream of his life had become a reality… Barnes succeeded because he chose a definite goal, placed all his energy, all his will power, all his effort, everything back of that goal.

He did not become the partner of Edison the day he arrived. He was content to start in the most menial work, as long as it provided an opportunity to take even one step toward his cherished goal.

Five years passed before the chance he had been seeking made its appearance. During all those years not one ray of hope, not one promise of attainment of his desire had been held out to him.

To everyone, except himself, he appeared only another cog in the Edison business wheel, but in his own mind, he was the partner of Edison every minute of the time, from the very day that he first went to work there.

It is a remarkable illustration of the power of a definite desire. Barnes won his goal, because he wanted to be a business associate of Mr. Edison, more than he wanted anything else.

He created a plan by which to attain that purpose. But he burned all bridges behind him. He stood by his desire until it became the dominating obsession of his life— and—finally, a fact.

When he went to Orange, he did not say to himself, 'I will try to induce Edison to give me a job of some sort.'

He said, 'I will see Edison, and put him on notice that I have come to go into business with him.' He did not say, 'I will work there for a few months, and if I get no encouragement, I will quit and get a job somewhere else.'

He did say, 'I will start anywhere. I will do anything Edison tells me to do, but before I am through, I will be his associate.'

He did not say, 'I will keep my eyes open for another opportunity, in case I fail to get what I want in the Edison organization.' He said, 'There is but one thing in this world that I am determined to have, and that is a business association with Thomas A. Edison. I will burn all bridges behind me, and stake my entire future on my ability to get what I want.'

He left himself no possible way of retreat. He had to win or perish! That is all there is to the Barnes story of success!"

When Your Desire Is White Hot

You Are A Field Of Infinite Potential

If you are ready to live life on your terms and create your best life ever then enroll in Mind Design™ today.

Commit as Edwin C. Barnes did. Learn to create that future in your mind and step into it. Your mindset matters the most! Barnes was certain he would work with Edison. He believed it.

Then he acted on it. He went to Orange, NJ by rail as a tramp. Edison was impressed with the look in his eyes. Edison could tell this man was serious about his quest.

Are you? Are you ready to propel yourself full steam into your future? Are you ready to burn your boats and bridges to the past and do what it takes to make your dreams come true?

"A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own.

He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy’s country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them.

Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, “You see the boats going up in smoke. That means we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win!

We now have no choice—we win—or we perish! They won.

Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining the state of mind known as a burning desire to win, essential to success.” Napoleon Hill Think And Grow Rich 1937
